Alba Milla was blind from birth with retinitis pigmentosa. At the time, her parents couldn't get any answers about what was happening with her eyesight. They were frightened, and even a little embarrassed, Alba says.
But, Alba says that parents of children who are blind/visually impaired should surround themselves with other parents of visually challenged children. "When we support each other, we grow together," Alba says.
Alba owns her own business, and gives us a delicious recipe for a Hershey's Chocolate Milkshake.

Marvin Griffin had a "crash course" (figuratively and literally). He knew he was loosing his sight over a period of years. One day, while driving with a passenger, Marvin crashed into a tree head on.
He and his passenger survived, and even though he's totally blind for 10 years now, Marvin says that you can do anything you want to do, even blind..."You just have to figure it out." If you mess up, he says just try again.
You will definitely want to listen to his very special way of making gumbo!
