Marvin Griffin had a "crash course" (figuratively and literally). He knew he was loosing his sight over a period of years. One day, while driving with a passenger, Marvin crashed into a tree head on.
He and his passenger survived, and even though he's totally blind for 10 years now, Marvin says that you can do anything you want to do, even blind..."You just have to figure it out." If you mess up, he says just try again.
You will definitely want to listen to his very special way of making gumbo!

Eileen and two of her siblings were diagnosed with blindness since they were very young. They also had another sibling with a physical disability. She says that taught her not to focus so much on her blindness.

She's been through plenty. Diabetic since six, and a kidney transplant recipient, and total blindness. Her first date with her now-husband was in a hospital. But, Shandi Ann remains optimistic.
