Kirk Adams, President & CEO of the American Foundation for the Blind, started life has a sighted child.
But, at about age 5, he was playing on the playground and ran into a bunch of equipment.
After that, his parents noticed something wasn't quite right. He had detached retinas and has lived blind.

Nearly 20 years ago, Annette Watkins came to The Cooking Without Looking TV Show after her eyesight was starting to diminish from Stargardt's disease, a group of inherited diseases causing light-sensitive cells in the inner back of the eye (retina) to deteriorate, particularly in the area of the macula where fine focusing occurs.
She is the host, and the interviewer on Segment 3, Food for Thought. So, today we turned the tables on Annette and asked her some questions about her life, learning not to drive, and healthy eating with organic food.
